We seek to be a place where people who are disconnected from God and each other can belong, believe and become in Jesus Christ.

Belong, believe and become truly matter to us.  These three ideas help give shape to how we act and live.

 Belong

We think that belonging leads to believing.  We think that there are too many people in the world without a place to fit.  We think that life is better when it is lived with other people, so we strive to be a community that practices radical hospitality, promise-keeping, truth-telling and gratitude.  We think that relationships matter, and we work to structure our life together that invites relationships that are transformational.  We dream of being a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can belong, where no one is excluded.

Believe

We live in a world that is full of questions. We think that there is one way to find true peace in the midst of a chaotic world,and we think that is found only in a relationship with Jesus.  When we enter into a relationship with Jesus we are engaged in God’s story that offers us new life and calls us to be at work in the world.  We think that a relationship with Jesus changes our heart and our lives, and and allows us to find fulfillment and abundance that exceeds our wildest expectations.  At The Community, we invite everyone to enter into a relationship with Jesus which offers new life and forgiveness, and we believe that no one is outside of God’s grace.

Become

At The Community, we are becoming a group of people who live out grace, justice and mercy in a broken world. We strive to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, and we are becoming a community that transforms the world.  We are becoming a people who live life on mission and in service, constantly engaging the world with a story of love.  As individuals, we are becoming people who are connected to God through prayer, worship and service.
